AI Can Do My Homework — So Why Should I Learn Anything?​ By Dr. Casey Gavin (Vista Health Pte. Ltd.​ AI Developer) Abstract: AI can now write, code, draw, explain, and do your homework - so should you bother learning anything anymore? The answer is yes, and it's more important than ever. The popular AI tools of today may seem like all powerful, silicon-based superheroes, but in fact remain tools that work best in the hands of a knowledgeable human being. In this talk, I will draw on my experience as a software engineer in the age of generative AI to explain why human knowledge, skills, and taste still matter. I will also share my approach to keeping up with the rapid technology developments occurring in my field, how that can be applied to other fields, and why it's important to practice using these tools as a part of your lifelong education.
