Space for all By Ms. Naoko Yamazaki (Former JAXA Astronaut) Contents: Based on the experience onboard the International Space Station (ISS) and Space Shuttle Discovery, the way astronauts train on the ground and we live in space will be introduced. Also how human space technologies are connected to our daily lives will be explained. Recently more and more nations and private companies are involving in space programs and we are heading towards to a new space era for all. Brief history of the speaker: Yamazaki earned a Master of Engineering degree from University of Tokyo in 1996, then started working for Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Yamazaki was onboard the International Space Station (ISS) for an assembly & resupply mission in 2010. After retiring from JAXA in 2011, Yamazaki has been serving as a member of Space Policy Committee of Cabinet Office (2012-2022), representative director of Space Port Japan Association (2018-), councilor of The Earthshot Prize launched by The Royal Foundation and Prince William (2020-) and president of Young Astronaut Club -Japan (2021-).
